Ford i ri FORD RANGER vetem €22,400

The all-new Ford Ranger has been ruthlessly tested – in some of the most hostile environments, under extreme temperatures, and across the harshest terrain on earth. So it’s ready for whatever challenge you set it.

The latest model is more powerful than ever, thanks to a new line-up of advanced Duratorq diesel engines. They can help you transport a gross payload of up to 1,309kg and tow up to 3,350 kg. At the same time, they offer improved fuel economy and meet Euro Stage V emissions standards.

The new Ranger is also the first pick-up ever to achieve a Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating. Find out more about its safety levels, driving experience, performance and efficiency, utility and costs and design.

Good looks that save you fuel

The new Ranger has a more streamlined body shape. This gives the vehicle a more contemporary look but also, more importantly, significantly improves fuel economy. Inside, the interior is more comfortable than ever, while still offering the durability that’s vital in a pick-up truck.

Its restyled front end makes the new Ranger more aerodynamic, boosting fuel economy and efficiency. And its new, higher waistline gives the driver more protection. Take a look at some exterior views and see these and other design features.

Enjoy a mix of capability and comfort

The new Ranger has the technology to help you negotiate both hostile off-road conditions and traffic-heavy urban streets. Then again, it also has features designed simply to make your driving experience more comfortable and relaxing.

From conquering steep gradients covered in sand, mud or ice to squeezing into tight parking spaces, the Ranger has lots of technology to help your driving.
Selectable 4x4 lets you match any terrain
You’ve a choice of three driving modes: 4x2 for regular driving, 4x4 (High Range) for poor road surfaces and dirt tracks and 4x4 (Low Range) for exceptionally challenging terrain. The fact that the Ranger clears the ground by 229mm also helps it overcome the most difficult conditions.

Using Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly you can switch between 4x2 and 4x4 High Range, while on the move. The system works in conjunction with Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and Electronic Traction Control (ETC).
The Ranger adapts to fit your driving style

An intelligent automatic transmission with Advanced Driver Recognition software enables a tailored driving experience according to the mode you select. For example: economy, performance, sports, uphill, downhill and towing, as well as 4x4 in high or low range.

The software ‘learns’ the driver’s style and matches it with the use of the transmission. So a relaxed driving style will deliver greater refinement and fuel economy, while a more enthusiastic driving style will be rewarded with sharper responses and a sportier feel.

Easier, safer reversing with a rear-view camera

As standard on Wildtrak, the optional rear-facing camera displays the view behind on a screen incorporated in the rear-view mirror. This can make reversing far easier and safer and shows the tow bar for easy reversing up to a trailer.

Sensors that take the stress out of parking

When the Ranger is in reverse (without a trailer), the radio sounds a warning if an object is located within 1.8m of the rear of the vehicle. The frequency of its beeping indicates how close the object is, making it easy to avoid. (Check models for availability.)

Cruise control makes longer drives more relaxed

Just set your desired speed via switches on the steering wheel, and let cruise control make travelling long distances less tiring. (Check models for availability)

A Trip Computer provides useful journey data

This gives you important information about your mileage, fuel consumption, speed and the outside air temperature. It also includes ‘distance to empty’: roughly how far you can go on the fuel left in the tank. This is particularly useful on long journeys or out in the wilderness somewhere.

In-dash Satellite Navigation makes sure you get there

Just programme your destination using the in-dash buttons and get audio and visual directions, plus information about your current location and the surrounding area. The SatNav is cleverly integrated into the audio system for security. (Check models for availability)

The interior of the new Ranger is a relaxing place to be, no matter what the conditions outside.

Set one temperature for you, another for your passenger
With Dual Automatic Temperature Control you can set individual temperatures for the driver and passenger sides of the cab. Standard on Wildtrak and Limited.

New, contemporary styled interior

Both cab styles are now wider, giving you more headroom and shoulder room in the front than before, with rear legroom that’s equally as generous, In fact, the Double Cab version now has rear legroom that’s best-in-class.

More spacious cabs

When you’re behind the wheel, the elevated driving position adds to the feeling of space. It also gives you an unrivalled view of the road (or terrain) ahead.

 Car-like interior comfort

Enjoy the feel and comfort of high quality materials, contemporary styling, plus adjustable front seats and class-leading legroom. Whether you’re going to a business meeting, building site or beach, you’ll always travel in car-like comfort.

New adjustable front seats
The new Ranger has fully adjustable front seats for extra comfort. A Power 8-way adjustable seat is also available on certain models, which lets you reach your optimum comfort setting at the touch of a button. It even includes adjustable lumbar support and integral heating.
All front seats have an elevated position, giving you a clear view of the road or terrain ahead. This can give you more time to react, improving the safety of everyone in the vehicle.
 More comfortable rear seats

The new Ranger’s more spacious cabin means the rear seats in the Double Cab version now offer legroom that’s best in class. Depending on the model, there are head restraints, a centre armrest and cupholders too. On some versions, rear seats can be flipped up and secured, giving extra load space or access to under-seat stowage. And 3-point seat belts are standard on all.

A range of in-car entertainment systems (ICE)entertainment syst
Choose from four levels of ICE system. The top of the range integrated unit includes a 5” colour screen, AM/FM, MP3 CD player, voice recognition, Bluetooth®, USB connectivity and Satellite Navigation.
 Intuitively designed cabin
Behind the wheel, you’ll notice how naturally the controls fall to hand and how easily you can read the well positioned dials and clear displays. The comfortable, elevated driving seat also puts you in a great position to see what’s ahead.
Top of the range audio system

The powerful six-speaker system can play MP3 files on a CD player and delivers superb sound quality.

Lights dim gradually giving you time to adjust
Theatre lighting dimming automatically and gradually dims the interior lights when the ignition is switched on.

Rain-sensing wipers

Rain-sensing wipers, which are standard on some models and optional on others, offer six levels of sensitivity, springing into action automatically at the first drop of rain and increasing in speed to deal with whatever the weather can come up with. Aside from the added convenience, it’s one less thing to have to think about (model specific).

Park Assist

There are rear sensors that make parking and manoeuvring both safer and easier. An audible warning helps you judge the distance between your car and any obstacle behind you, so you have complete confidence and peace of mind, particularly in tight spaces (optional extra).

This is a convenient device that stops you having to search around for your keys. Simply walk up to the door or boot and pull the handle. Even if your key is in your pocket or bag, the system will detect its presence and unlock the vehicle and de-activate the alarm. You can, of course, use the remote control buttons to open or lock the car if you’d prefer. (optional extra).

The Ranger’s convenience features are designed to make life just that bit simpler.

For hands-free safety: Bluetooth® with Voice Control
You can make and receive mobile calls, change the music and operate other key controls just by using your voice. So you don’t have to take your eyes off the road (or dirt track), or your hands off the wheel. (Optional on XL series, standard on all other series)
 Ford Easy-Fuel, for foolproof filling-up
This makes it almost impossible to put the wrong fuel in your Ranger, because the wrong nozzle simply won’t fit. And as Easy-Fuel is a capless system, you’ll never have to handle a dirty fuel cap again.

Wipers that automatically adjust to the rain

Sensitive rain-sensing wipers automatically start working when the first drops of rain are detected. Where these are not specified on a model, ingenious speed-sensing wipers will be fitted instead. These automatically adjust your chosen wiper speed as the vehicle’s speed changes, because the speed at which the rain collects on the windscreen will naturally change too. (Optional on XL series, standard on all other series)

Wing mirrors that fold themselves away from harm

On Limited and Wildtrak models, power-foldable mirrors fold inwards at the push of a button or when the car is locked, to avoid accidental damage. Heated with side repeaters (indicators) and puddle lamps, they light the floor when you step out. (Check models for availability.)

Quickclear heated windscreen puts an end to scraping

This feature allows ice to be rapidly cleared from the glass without scraping and provides swift de-fogging. Standard on XLT, Wildtrak and Limited

 Ranger automatically lights your path

Triggered by remote unlocking or the ignition being turned off, Puddle Lamps, Approach and Guide-me-home lights give you better visibility when you’re approaching or leaving the Ranger in the dark. The Puddle Lamps, which illuminate the ground next to the front doors, are available on Limited and Wildtrak. The Approach and Guide-me-home lights are available on XLT, Wildtrak and Limited.

 Lots of handy stowage space
Life is easier when it’s organised. And Ranger can help, with lots of handy stowage spaces. There are three centre console storage areas (short, long and long with a section cooled by the air conditioning system) depending on the type of cab you choose. They contain storage bins suitable for food, as well as cup and bottle holders, trays for small items, and that all-important space for your mobile. The glovebox offers a huge 11.9 litres of space and can hold a 15” laptop, a compact umbrella and more. You’ll also find plenty of stowage pockets around the cab, while the Double Cab also has two large, under-seat stowage areas.
 Easy-to-use, ultra-secure control panel
The new central console lets you control all the advanced functions of the integrated audio system using a central joy stick. It’s easy to interact with and, unlike a conventional set-up, impossible to steal.
 Class-leading instrument display cluster

The new instrument cluster shows you a class-leading display of vital information: from the speedometer, tachometer and odometer to Trip Computer readings. It’s available as standard on Wildtrak.

A pick-up built for purpose

Its interior may be comfortable and relaxing, but the Ranger is a vehicle designed primarily for work. With class-leading payload and towing capability, along with a range of features and accessories to manage all kinds of load, it’s a very practical choice. And with new, lower cost-of-ownership figures, it’s a good choice financially, too.

The Ranger is designed to be able to cope with virtually any carrying or towing task you set it.

Class-leading payload and towing capability
The new Ranger achieves best-in-class payload and towing capability of an impressive 1,309 kg and 3,350 kg respectively.

Towing capability in figures
The Ranger makes light work of heavy loads, whether on level ground or towing uphill.
Here you can see in figures just how much it can move.

4x4 Regular Cab, Double Cab: Unbraked 750 kg*; Braked 3350 kg*
*In some situations ‘4L’ may need to be used.
The new Ranger offers a variety of ways to keep all kinds of loads safe and secure.
Versatile, lockable pick-up box for peace of mind
The new Ranger’s pick-up box can carry a standard Euro pallet, the tools of your trade, or all you need for a weekend camping trip. It also offers a number of ways to keep your load safe, all of which are DIN compliant. They include sturdy tie-down hooks, an integrated load rest, and (on some models) exterior rope rails. For security and peace of mind, the tailgate can be locked and unlocked manually.
Sturdy tie-downs for a safer load

To help carry your load safely, these tie-downs can be internal or external and the number varies according to cab type. All are DIN compliant.

Lockable roller shutter secures and protects cargo
Available on Wildtrak models, this feature provides extra security for cargo in the pick-up bed. It can be locked in three different positions, is water resistant and is sturdy enough to withstand another half-tonne load on top of it.
 Convenient 12 volt power socket

Standard on XLT, Limited and Wildtrak versions, where a bedliner is fitted, the socket is located conveniently in the pick-up box area, so you can run a fridge or other electrical appliance.

Cargo Management System for loads of all sizes

The system has two rails (one down each side of the load box), with two adjustable cleats on each side. These can be moved along to suit the size of load.

 Secure load rest
To make sure everything stays where you put it, the pick-up box walls are not only higher, but they also incorporate tie-down hooks, an integrated load rest and two pivoting guides mounted, for long objects, on the rear structure. (Check models for availability.)
 Integrated load box enhances design

Each cab type has a unique load box that curves slightly at the top to integrate with the cab itself. This adds to the Ranger’s bold, streamlined design.

Tailor the Ranger to your business
You can choose from a full range of accessories to ensure the Ranger meets your exact business and leisure needs. All are designed to complement the Ranger’s style and are just as tough and durable as the vehicle itself. Accessories include:
  • Roller shutter
  • Standard canopy
  • Commercial canopy
  • Aluminium chassis cab tray
  • Hard tonneau cover (one piece)
  • Pick-up box bed liner (with or without 12v socket)
  • Cargo Management System (C channel)
  • Tachograph prep kit - brackets and finish
  • Fuel-fired heater
  • Spare wheel lock
  • Tow bar (flanged for 3,350 kg capacity or detachable for 2,200kg)
 Even lower cost of ownership
The new Ranger is now powered by advanced Duratorq diesel engines, and their improved durability and design result in even lower whole life costs. For example:
  • Service intervals further extended
From 20,000 km or 1 year to 30,000 km or 2 years.
  • Extended corrosion protection
The new Ranger has a high level of protection against corrosion, so you can now benefit from a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty, our longest ever.

New levels of both power and economy

The new Ranger features a new, improved engine range, which delivers more power and improved fuel consumption. And hand in hand with better economy levels, come lower emissions levels: the vehicle now achieves CO2 figures as low as 199g/Km.

Find out more about the new engines and other technical improvements that result in enhanced performance and efficiency.

To cope with heavy loads or master challenging terrain, the Ranger has to be able to produce plenty of torque. Its new range of engines and transmissions can deliver whenever you need them to.

More powerful, more economical diesel engines
The new Ranger now offers a range of new Duratorq Stage Vdiesel engines that combine extra power and torque with outstanding fuel economy.

For example, the150PS/110kW 2.2-litre 4 cylinder engine delivers up to 375 Nm of torque and a frugal fuel economy figure of 7.8-litres/100km (combined cycle). While the 200PS 3.2 litre TDCi (diesel) offers up to 470Nm of torque.

The higher-powered engines use a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), which controls the amount of power and torque produced. It improves starting and gives you class-leading torque at low speeds, even without touching the accelerator – minimising fuel consumption and emissions.

In fact, all the new engines meet the stringent European Stage V emissions standards. The Ranger’s new engines are more efficient, as well as more powerful. And the vehicle’s driving dynamics mean it’s agile and surefooted, whatever the surface. All in all, the vehicle offers the complete performance package.

New 6-speed transmissions save fuel and cut emissions

A new, smooth-shifting 6-speed manual transmission is now available; designed and engineered to complement the new diesel engine line-up. This precision system helps reduce emissions and save on fuel costs, while making for a more relaxing drive. In addition, an advanced automatic version has been precisely tuned to provide smooth but quick shifts and offer improved fuel economy.

A combination of new technologies and functional design means you can manoeuvre the Ranger across virtually any ground conditions – mud or even water (Ranger has best-in-class wading ability).

New steering system for better manoeuvrability
Ranger’s new rack-and-pinion system gives you more accurate and precise steering. This is designed to improve manoeuvrability at low speeds, such as when you’re parking or negotiating a narrow off-road track. It takes only 3.5 turns of the steering wheel from lock to lock. And the turning circle is just 12.4m.
New larger wheels for optimum grip
The new Ranger XL is fitted with 16” steel wheels as standard, while the XLT has performance-style alloys. The larger tyres exert tremendous grip no matter how treacherous the ground conditions, giving you optimum confidence and control. The wheels are also able to put down more power from the more powerful new engines, delivering greater traction and torque on the road (or wherever you happen to be driving).
 Five new tyre types
To ensure optimum performance, over 100 new tyre options were relentlessly tested in the most extreme, hostile and unforgiving conditions on earth. Just five survived, to be further developed, refined and made ready for the new Ford Ranger line-up. Covering on and off road use, they combine excellent traction, low noise and durability and can absorb the impact of the roughest, most rugged terrains, to ensure a comfortable ride.
The new Ranger has two features in particular that further improve the economy levels of its new Duratorq diesel engine range.
Lower fuel consumption with low rolling resistance tyres
All five tyres are designed to meet less resistance when rotating. As a result, they use less energy, which helps further reduce fuel consumption.
Electricity management saves on emissions and fuel

The innovative Electrical Energy Management function supplies electric power to the Ranger and includes the generation of electric power (alternator), storage of electric energy (in the battery) and consumption control. Consumption control consists of monitoring and adjusting the consumption of electricity, for example when the engine is off, during driving (to prolong battery life) and to control engine emissions. The system can also help lower fuel consumption.

The first pick-up with a 5-star safety rating

The new Ranger has a class-leading safety package, which includes everything from standard driver and passenger airbags, side and curtain airbags and a driver’s knee airbag to an advanced Electronic Stability Programme (ESP). That’s why it’s the first ever pick-up to be awarded a Euro NCAP 5-star rating. Its security package is equally comprehensive, too.

The new Ranger has been tested relentlessly in the most hostile environments around the world. Having negotiated its way through mud, water, snow and sand, it will keep you safe and in control in virtually any situation.
 Class-leading safety package
The Ranger’s comprehensive safety package includes everything from an advanced Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) to a Seat Belt Reminder feature. No wonder it’s the first ever pick-up to be awarded a Euro NCAP 5-star rating.

Stay in control whatever the conditions

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)senses any deviations from your chosen driving line and automatically corrects your road position, helping you stay in control whatever the conditions. Below you’ll discover the benefits of the main advanced driving technologies which are part of the ESP:

 Extra control going downhill

Hill Descent Control (HDC) gives you greater control on steep downhill gradients, on and off road.

Extra control during hill starts

Hill Start Assist (HSA) stops you rolling backwards during hill starts, by maintaining braking pressure as you move your foot from brake to accelerator.

Keeping your trailer safely in line
Trailer Sway Control (TSC) detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces the Ranger’s speed until the problem ceases, making towing more controlled and safer. Deceleration is achieved by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
Control features that adapt to your load
Load Adaptive Control (LAC) adjusts the Electronic Stability Programme according to whether the Ranger is laden or unladen, by cleverly reacting to steering wheel input. This ensures control and stability under all loading conditions.

Extra power for emergency braking
Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) adds pressure to increase the brake force and reduce the stopping distance in an emergency stop situation.
A warning behind when you brake sharply
The Emergency Brake Light (EBL) system flashes the indicator lights to warn other drivers when the Ranger slows down suddenly.

Continuous protection against rolling over
Roll-over Mitigation (ROM) monitors the vehicle and identifies dangerous driving conditions that could lead to it rolling over. The system then triggers ESP to intervene, control the speed and restore stability.

Maximum grip with minimum effort

By precisely controlling the way engine torque is delivered to the wheels, the Ranger’s Traction Control System (TCS) provides better traction, acceleration and stability on loose and slippery surfaces. This also helps prevent wheelspin.

A tougher body for maximum protection
Ranger’s superior body construction provides a protective shield, which directs the crash force away from the occupants. In addition, the new higher waistline and side intrusion bars increase protection from side impact.

Advanced systems for more controlled braking
A combination of ABS and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), this advanced system delivers safe, effective braking and steering stability, crucially when braking mid corner. It also improves short distance stopping, whatever the conditions.

Airbags to shield you from all angles
Driver and passenger airbags are standard on the new Ranger. There are also new side curtain and thorax airbags and an inflatable knee booster. The side curtain airbags protect against head level impacts against the side windows. While the thorax airbags protect from side impacts at lower door level.
Advanced technology for more effective seatbelts

Seat belts are fitted to both front seats and to all three rear seats in the Double Cab. The driver and front passenger seat belt retractors have seat belt pretensioners. These are designed to keep you and your passengers firmly in your seats so the airbags will be more effective, and will sometimes activate alone during minor collisions.

Preventing injury by the passenger airbag

Passenger Airbag Deactivation allows the deactivation of the passenger airbag when it could cause harm, for example when you’re fitting a child seat on the front passenger seat.

Seat belt reminder system for added safety

This illuminates and a warning sounds if the driver's and or the passenger’s seat belt isn’t fastened and the vehicle is moving.

Safer seats for smaller travellers

The safety, comfort and protection of your children are paramount. That’s why you’ll find ISOFIX child seat attachments are available as standard. They include top tether anchorage, which significantly reduces the chance of head injury in an accident.

Collapsible steering column helps prevent driver injury
The steering column collapses into the dashboard, which can help minimise the potential risk of injury on impact.

Headlights that turn on automatically when needed
When the light is poor (day or night) the headlamps automatically come on at low beam. They turn off when the ambient lighting improves, for example when coming out of a tunnel, or when the engine is turned off. (Check models for availability.)

Thanks to its comprehensive security package, you can have peace of mind whenever you park your Ranger, whatever the model.

A range of security measures
There’s remote central locking on all three cab styles and a steering column ignition lock.
Our Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) immobilises the engine until your uniquely coded key is detected in the ignition, so your Ranger can’t be driven off, even if a thief does manage to get into the cab.
And in the unlikely event that they do manage to steal the vehicle, Ranger comes with a visible Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), so it can be easily traced.
Steel shielding protects the Ranger’s lock mechanisms.
New high level alarm system
A Thatcham Category 1 alarm system is now available on the Ranger. It automatically arms itself when you lock the vehicle and an alarm sounds if triggered by forced entry, or the sensors pick up any movement inside.

An extra, independent back-up alarm
The battery back-up sounder is an extra alarm system which will sound a siren when the alarm is triggered. It has its own battery so will activate even if someone disconnects the vehicle battery or the battery back-up sounder itself.

A choice of cab styles and more space

The new Ranger offers a choice of two cab styles, both of which are wider and more spacious than before. So you’ll find more head, shoulder and legroom (the Double Cab’s rear legroom is best in class). It’s also the longest, widest and one of the tallest pick-ups on the market.

Regular Cab

The two-door Regular Cab provides an exceptional and highly practical space with outstanding load-space capability.

  • Two-door cab style with seats for up to two occupants.
  • Load box 2317 x 1560 mm
  • 1340 kg maximum gross payload
Double Cab

The new Ranger Double Cab has four full sized doors. It provides a spacious, car-like environment for up to five people, with larger doors giving easy access for rear passengers. They also enjoy class-leading rear legroom.

  • Four-door cab style with seats for up to five occupants.
  • Load box 1549 x 1560 mm
  • 1152 kg maximum gross payload
